Gregory Dowell, RA, NCARB  ZS is pleased to announce the promotion of Gregory Dowell to Director of ZS’ Chicago Building Enclosure Group. Gregory is a Licensed Architect in Illinois and Wisconsin, and has over a decade of experience in building enclosure consulting and the preservation and restoration of historic buildings. Over the past two years, Gregory has contributed greatly in his role at ZS and focused his efforts on managing and performing building enclosure assessment, design and commissioning for new, existing and historic facilities.

Deer District named Milwaukee Business Journal’s Real Estate Project of the Year

The Milwaukee Bucks Deer District  was recently named Project of the Year at the Milwaukee Business Journal’s 2020 Real Estate Awards. Milwaukee Bucks’ president Peter Feigin accepted the award on behalf of the project. The architectural design for the project was led by Milwaukee-based firm RINKA+. Hunzinger Construction was the construction manager for the project, and ZS  served as the Structural Engineer of Record for all structures built within the Deer District. ZS Joins Komatsu North American Headquarters Construction Team to Provide Turnkey Fall Protection Solutions

ZS was selected by Komatsu and Hunzinger Construction to provide roof access and fall protection design-build services for Komatsu’s new North American headquarters in Milwaukee’s Harbor District.  The currently under construction new headquarters includes 170,000 square feet of offices, 410,000 square feet of manufacturing space, a 20,000-square-foot training center and museum, and a company store.
