Gaenslen Elementary is a public school in the Milwaukee Public School System. Areas of the facade had experienced water infiltration and horizontal cracking that required that a forensic investigation take place. ZS was retained to perform this investigation and source the cause of these issues. Once identified, ZS prepared construction documents that included new through-wall flashing and counter-flashing, new control joints, and a reinforcing system was engineered for the concrete masonry unit back up wall.
