ZS was retained to conduct a forensic investigation of a foundry roof structure following a sand pipe leak that occurred on the roof. ZS utilized laser scan data obtained before and after the leak to determine the extend of the damage.

Repair documents were developed by utilizing the laser scan data obtained during the investigation phase coupled with existing drawings. The use of the scan data permitted the construction team to perform as-built coordination of existing conditions with the repair details which streamlined the repairs resulting in significant value to the client in terms of cost and schedule.
