Building Enclosure Testing

ZS routinely performs building enclosure testing services for windows, door, curtain walls, and storefront, air barrier, roofing/waterproofing and masonry wall systems. Using state-of-the-art testing and inspection equipment, ZS professionals have extensive experience performing the testing protocols of the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).

Field testing of the building enclosure determines the quality of the installation work, ensuring that proper specifications were followed during the construction process. Typically, these services are for quality assurance or new building commissioning, however ZS also utilizes testing to identify failures on existing buildings. On new buildings, we perform testing to determine if fenestrations, masonry wall systems, air barriers, roofing, and waterproofing are properly installed and sealed to prevent water leakage and air infiltration.
