The Veterans Memorial Coliseum was constructed in 1967 and it serves as the Alliant Energy Center’s major venue for concert performances, livestock shows, sporting events (hockey), product shows, and other events such as circus and monster truck rallies.

In 2015, ZS performed 3D laser scanning of the interior of the Coliseum as part of a comprehensive study of the facility. The resulting point cloud was used to document as-built conditions, prepare an equipment inventory, and to generate an as-built Building Information Model (BIM).
