ZS was retained by the State of Wisconsin to provide forensic/investigative services for the One West Wilson Building, a National Register of Historic services Building located in Madison, Wisconsin.

The scope of services included water penetration testing on representative window units, destructive investigative openings, close-up visual examinations of the building enclosure components, and brick/mortar laboratory testing.

The investigation services included:

• Water Infiltration testing of window units
• Based upon the investigation, recommended replacement of the existing windows with new energy efficient windows
• Observed and documented interior and exterior wall openings
• Assisted the State in developing a precise window replacement scope of work and the ability to prioritize the repairs
