ZS is pleased to announce joining the new Milwaukee Bucks Entertainment District project design team. ZS was selected to provide the structural engineering services for this iconic project. The proposed Entertainment District, located east of N. 4th St., between W. Highland and W. Juneau Avenue, will include three buildings and a large public plaza. The district will host year-round community activities such as dining, retail, outdoor ice skating, a farmer’s market, and outdoor concerts/festivals. On October 1, 2016, Ziad Salameh, PhD, PE, Principal-In-Charge at ZS, started a one year appointment as the Chairman of the Forensic Engineering Division (FED) of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Forensic engineering is the application of engineering principles to the investigation of failures or other performance problems. ZS Performs State-of-the-Art Laser Scanning and BIM Conversion of Historic Eagle Tower for Wisconsin DNR

The Eagle Tower was constructed in the 1930’s and overlooks the Peninsula State Park in Door County, Wisconsin. The tower was closed to the public last year amidst safety concerns resulting from the deterioration of the timber members and is scheduled to be demolished in the fall of 2016. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is considering replicating this iconic structure and retained ZS to provide as-built documentation of the tower prior to the demolition.
